I didn't catch the game last night but by all accounts the Tigers played a very good game and the Hitmen weren't up to their usual standard but were able to find a way to win.

Medicine Hat, AB – Brandon Kozun had four points (1g 3a) plus the shootout winner as the Calgary Hitmen beat the Tigers 5-4 in Medicine Hat Friday night.
Austin Madaisky, Chase Schaber and Misha Fisenko also scored for the Hitmen who improved their record to 3-0.
After trailing 1-0 early in the first, the Hitmen rallied to build a 4-2 third period lead before the Tigers forced overtime.
Martin Jones made 28 saves and was perfect in the shootout to pick up the win in goal.
