The Hitmen are looking to win their 5th straight game this afternoon when they host the Seattle Thunderbirds. It is the yearly meeting between the two teams, they played last year in Seattle, where the Hitmen beat the T-birds 4-1.

The Hitmen seem to be finding their game, the past couple of games we have seen the constant attack and hard forecheck that the team played with last year. The power play has also been good lately and is up to over 35% on the season.

The game is on the radio today starting at 2 pm Calgary time.

Calvin Pickard did everything he could this afternoon to steal a game from the Calgary Hitmen, but Michael Stone was able to get a power play goal behind Pickard with just over 9 minutes to play in the 3rd, the goal gave the Hitmen the lead, and their 5th straight win.

The Hitmen really dominated much of the game but there were times when Seattle looked good. Hitmen forward Tyler Fiddler scored his 10th of the season in the first, what a great start to the year for Fiddler who only scored 3 goals all of the last year.

Martin Jones got the start, his 6th of the year, and only had to make 11 saves in the win. Jones has yet to taste defeat this season.

Interesting to see the Lucas Sbisa has been sent back to the Canes. I have no information but I wonder if the Hitmen would be interested in his services. The Hitmen have room for an Euro spot open.
