Alberta Captures Gold AT Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup

holy cow what a comeback by alberta down 4-2 with just 3 minutes left in the third. AND THEN BOOM the miracle in blackfalds begins. alberta scored with 1:17 left in the third. With Their Goalie pulled Alberta tied the game up with 59 seconds. Just 10 seconds later ALBERTA SCORES AGAIN. and then with not even 1 second left the empty goal that sealed the deal. never the less manitoba played awesome for 2 periods and 17 minutes. honestly manitoba was a strong, big, except for #12, chippy, and mouthy. they played awesome. never thought we were going to come back like alberta did. the way they both played i cant wait to see all of the players in the whl one day. a quote from a parent with a kid on manitobas team to show just how fast the game turrned around. we got this wrapped up to its going to be a long 12 hour drive home with nothing to talk about.

Kudo's to Mb for performing so well in this tourney, usually considered the weak sister for hockey development but to win every round robin game and just come up short in the final, great performance! Congrats to Ab on the win

That game was insane!

I was at each and every game and it's just fantastic that the final game was the best game. Those Alberta parents were crazy too with their noise makers. At least they were into it, which is good.
