Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – In conjunction with many partners including Hockey Canada, Rawlco Radio and Molson Coors Canada, the Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce a number of added features for the World Under 20 Pre-Competition game between Austria and Switzerland at the Art Hauser Centre December 21st.
Rawlco, Raiders add WJC ticket to December 27th game
With every ticket purchased to the Austria vs. Switzerland game in Prince Albert December 21st, a FREE voucher will be provided courtesy Rawlco Radio and the Prince Albert Raiders. That voucher can be redeemed at any Ticketmaster location in Saskatchewan for a ticket to see Switzerland play the United States of America on Sunday, December 27th at 3:00 PM in the 2010 World Junior Championships at Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon! The retail value of this bonus voucher is $60!
Patrons that have already purchased tickets to the Austria vs. Switzerland game will have the vouchers sent to them.
Tim Toutant to play a Cabaret Post Game December 21st
Following the Austria vs. Switzerland game in Prince Albert Monday, December 21st, Prince Albert recording artist Tim Toutant (www.timtoutant.com) and his band will be putting on a cabaret in the Ches Leach Lounge courtesy Molson Coors Canada. This is a FREE cabaret for fans 19 and older who attended the Austria/Switzerland game only.
Tickets for the Austria vs. Switzerland game are $25 for adults and $15 for 12 and under. That price now includes the voucher for the WJC game between the USA and Switzerland in Saskatoon December 27th and entry to the post game cabaret December 21st for patrons 19 and older. Tickets can be purchased on line at www.raiderhockey.com, at any upcoming Raider home game or by calling 764-GAME.
Team Switzerland to skate with a Minor Hockey team!
When Switzerland arrives in North America December 19th they will travel directly to Prince Albert to set up for the Pre Competition game against Austria. They will practice Sunday, December 20th from 10:30 to Noon at the Art Hauser Centre.
The host committee will be in contact with every minor hockey team in the area, offering them the opportunity to skate with Team Switzerland from Noon to 1:00 PM on December 20th at the AHC. The minor hockey team that sells the most tickets to the Austria vs. Switzerland game before December 10th will be able to lace up their skates and be on the ice exclusively with a team that is competing at the World Junior Championships!
Autographs with Team Switzerland
On Sunday, December 20th from 3:00 – 4:00 PM the entire roster of Team Switzerland will be in the South Hill Mall signing autographs. Team Switzerland is expected to include Luca Sbisa, who played this season with the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in the National Hockey League and has 47 games NHL experience the past two seasons. Sbisa has the most NHL experience of any player attending the 2010 World Junior Championships.
Luncheon with teams and special guest from Hockey Canada December 21st
A corporate luncheon featuring both Team Austria and Team Switzerland will be held at Noon Monday, December 21st in the Ches Leach Lounge. A special guest speaker from Hockey Canada is expected to be announced shortly.
Besides hearing the guest speaker and seeing the two teams introduced, there will be a silent auction. That auction is expected to include: an autographed 2010 WJC Team Canada jersey, autographed jerseys from Team Austria and Team Switzerland, tickets to see Team Canada in a game at the World Junior Championships and more.
Tables of 8 will be $400 which includes 8 tickets to the Pre Competition game the same night and all of the other bonuses. Tables can be purchased by contacting the Raider office at 764-GAME.

Slovakia to set up Training Camp in Prince Albert
With the assistance of Hockey Canada, the Prince Albert host committee has just confirmed that Team Slovakia will be setting up their training camp in Prince Albert from December 15 – 19. They will arrive in North America late December 15th and proceed directly to Prince Albert.
Their training camp, which will see them make their final roster for the WJC will start with one on-ice session December 16, then two on-ice sessions per day on the 17th and 18th with a final on-ice session December 19th before departing for Saskatoon.
One of the features that drew Slovakia to come to PA is the entire team will be the guests of the Prince Albert Raiders at their December 18th WHL game when they host the Saskatoon Blades.
Details including possible community appearances will be finalized in the coming weeks.
