The Hitmen continued to roll Friday night with a 3-1 victory over the Regina Pats. With the win the Hitmen have picked up points in 9 straight games. This game was closer than what it should have been. The Hitmen fired 50 shots on Pat goalie Dawson Guhle, but Guhle stood his ground and kept his team in the game. The game was tied at 1 from the midway point of the first period until Joel Broda gave the Hitmen the lead with under 3 minutes to play. Tyler Fiddler potted his 16th of the season with just over a minute to go to give the Hitmen the 3-1 lead.

The Pats didn't help themselves by giving the Hitmen 7 power plays while the Pats only had 1 power play in the game. But give the Pats credit, the Hitmen lethal power play went 0 for 7 and this is one area where the Hitmen really miss Kozun.

The Hitmen wrap up the pre-Christmas schedule tonight in Medicine Hat.
