It was the 5th meeting of the year between the 2 rivals and for the first this season, the Ice were able to beat the Hitmen 3-1.
Todd Mathews was very good last night for the Ice, he made 34 saves in the win. Michael Snider played okay but he did let one weak goal in, a shot he would want to have back.
The Hitmen power play, which was so deadly for most of the season, is really going through a funk. The players are not moving around, just standing in their positions, and the puck movement, which is usually very fast and around the zone has become non existent.
