The Hitmen ended their mini 2 game losing streak last night with a 4-3 win over the Regina Pats.

The Hitmen jumped out to a 3-1 first period lead on goals by Schaber, Schultz, and Aschim. The Ian Schultz goal went right through Guhle and is probably a shot that the kid wants to have back.

The second period was a good period of the Pats, the Hitmen took 3 straight penalties to open the period, it allowed the Pats to take control for a good portion of the period and it cut the lead to 3-2.

In the third period, it was all Hitmen early on. The Pats didn't register a shot on goal until close to the midway point of the period. The game winning goal came off a shorthanded goal by Tyler Fiddler. The Pats would pull within one with just over a minute to go but couldn't find the tying goal.

The Hitmen ended their power play slump with a power play goal in the first period. As we get closer to the trade deadline it becomes clearer and clearer that if the Hitmen are going to take a serious run for the President's Cup that Kisio needs one more top 6 possibly top 9 forward and a top 2-3 defenceman.
