The Hitmen ended their 2 game losing streak on Saturday evening with a 3-0 win over the Hurricanes. For the Hitmen it was a much better defensive effort. The Hitmen held the Canes to 24 shots on goal and only 11 of those in the final 40 minutes of the game. Offensively the Hitmen scored 3 goals but we found out prior to the game that Joel Broda suffered a concussion in Saskatoon earlier this week. I haven't heard how long Broda is expected to be out. Newcomer Jimmy Bubnick picked up 2 assists, his first points as a Hitmen. Kris Foucault scored the 3rd Hitmen goal, it was his first goal in 12 games. The Hitmen host the Ice, who have won 11 in a row starting at 5 Calgary time.
