The Hitmen finally exploded offensively with a 7 goal outburst vs the Hurricanes, unfortunately, the Hitmen's defensive zone coverage was a nightmare yet again giving up 5 goals to the lowly Canes.
The Hurricanes actually came out very strong, killed off an early penalty and then took it to the Hitmen. The Hurricanes had leads of 2-0 and 3-1 before the Hitmen really started to take the game over. The Hitmen really started to generate chances when they switched up the lines. Coach Williamson started using these combos:
Fisenko-Kozie-Schultz
Shattock-Bubnick-Fiddler
Cowan-Sylvester-Foucault
Beach-Royer-Burgart
That just seemed to jump start the team offensively and they started to work just alittle harder.
Defensively, there were still several break downs, particularly in front of their own net. The Canes scored several goal mouth goals by being able to get to rebounds.
