The Hitmen won their 2nd straight game last night, 5-0 over the Moose Jaw Warriors. It was probably the best effort we have seen from the Hitmen in several weeks. They seemed to have some jump in their legs and played a solid 50 minutes or so. They did get into some penalty trouble early in the second period and if it was not for Martin Jones the Warriors would have probably blown the game wide open. The Hitmen were fortunate to finally face a goalie who let in a couple of bad goals. Joel Broda returned from a concussion and scored a natural hat trick but the first 2 he scored, should have been stopped by Jeff Bosch.

1. CAL Bubnick, (18) (Shattock, Nyren), 12:09
1. CAL Kozun, (23) (MacKenzie, Fiddler), 15:39 (PP)
2. CAL Broda, (22) (Cowan, Nyren), 19:19 (PP)
3. CAL Broda, (23) (Nyren), 2:50
3. CAL Broda, (24) (Stone, Shattock), 5:05 (PP)

The Hitmen have a huge week coming up. They have played 3 games of the 6 game home stand, they face the Hurricanes again tomorrow night before hosting the Wheat Kings and Americans later on this coming week. Those last 2 games of the home stand will be good measuring sticks for the Hitmen.

Yeah you guys did play well. Too bad the turnaround had to be against us. Your right Bosch didnt play well and Jones did. Bosch was playing well. He had two shutouts last week. We needed to stay out of the box. 3 pp goals.
