I'm not sure where this article came from but it was posted on another site. I'd especially read the last paragraph and think about spending the $10

General Managers, head coaches and mascots from across the NHL visited children's hospitals in all 30 markets to personally deliver unique kid-sized green "Reach the Day" wristbands to young patients and their families as a symbol of hope in their fight against cancer. At the same time, hockey fans across North America demonstrated their support by purchasing thousands of CureSearch "Reach the Day" wristbands via NHL.com. The NHL Foundation's efforts were capped by a generous $100,000 donation to the "Reach the Day" program, which benefited CureSearch and Childhood Cancer Foundation Canada.

The NHL invites hockey fans to join them in the continuing fight against childhood cancer by wearing "Reach the Day" wristbands, which cost only $1 each and are available for purchase in packs of 10 on www.CureSearch.org. All proceeds benefit CureSearch and lifesaving pediatric cancer research.
