I was able to catch both these games...
Game 1, the raiders came out flying and to be honest looked pretty good all game. Several chances that were just short of goals and the hitmen were able to capatalize on the chances they had. Much closer game than the score showed. Some awful calls against the raiders and the inability to score was the nights story.
Game 2, the raiders jumped to the early 2-0 lead and it looked like they were going to need it. The worst performance I have seen from the raiders on webcast or in person. It was obvious the hitmen took alot out of them the night before. Even Zemlak looked shaky at times. Going into the third I didnt like the raiders chances and out of no where both teams started playing like it was the first period. 6 min into the period Maylan took a pass as he just came over the boards and wired it low under the pad. From this point the raiders never looked back and knew they needed the win.
