Gogol Suspended for 3; Blades host Moose Jaw Tonight
Tuesday, 09 March 2010
Left winger Curt Gogol will have to sit out all three remaining Saskatoon Blades' regular season home games this week. The 18-year-old was suspended by the W-H-L for three games for what the league described as an unprovoked attack on Calgary defenceman and Saskatoon product Zak Stebner back on Sunday. The Bridge City Bunch hosts Moose Jaw at 7:05 at Credit Union Centre. The Blades are also home to Regina Wednesday and Prince Albert Friday before completing the regular campaign Saturday in P-A. Saskatoon has just one win in their last four games and appears headed for a third place finish in the Eastern Conference standings. Mathematically speaking, the Blades can still finish anywhere from first to third and open the playoffs against any one of six different teams.
