Some interesting selections. I wonder who picks them
Stefan Elliot in my mind is the best defenseman in the East
I think the forwards are all spot on
Sylvester is such an important player for Kootenay
I would have had Robak and Elliot on the First team and Stone and Hamonic on the second team

I just don't understand how Stone gets the Eastern Conference nomination for Defenceman of the year. You could make a strong case for Robak and Elliot having a better year than him.
Robak has 1 more point, but played 2 more games. But the standout statistics are that he is +52 better than Stone in the +/- category, and its not like Stone plays on a bad team. Also Robak has 82 less PIM's than Stone. For a teams top defenceman who plays against the best players on the other team night after night to only have 9 PIM's is remarkable.
Elliot has the same amount of points and played 3 more games. But like Robak, he beat Stone in the +/- category by +37. He also has 67 less PIM's than Stone.
Name Pos GP G A PTS +/- PIM
28 Michael Stone D 69 21 44 65 +4 91
4 Colby Robak D 71 16 50 66 +56 9
6 Stefan Elliott D 72 26 39 65 +41 24
That's my rant for the day I guess.

Robak not nominated for most sportsmanlike blows my mind, 4 PIM...other one was a fighting major.

It likely was the major that stopped him from getting the nomination.
