Del Cowan scored twice and set up two more while Ian Schultz also scored two goals to lead the visiting Calgary Hitmen to a 7-3 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors in Game 6 on Saturday.
Tyler Shattock – with a goal and an assist – Joel Broda and Giffen Nyren also scored while Jimmy Bubnick chipped in three assists for the Hitmen, who led 4-3 after two periods but scored three times in the third period to win their second straight contest in the series. Martin Jones turned aside 36 of 39 shots to record the win.
Thomas Frazee – with a goal and an assist – Ryan Stanton and Connor Cox scored while Quinton Howden added three assists in his first career post-season game for the Warriors, who have seen their 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven slip away. Jeff Bosch made 36 saves in the loss.
The Hitmen will host the Warriors for the seventh and deciding game of the series on Monday in Calgary, AB.
