Getting the coach back should help.

Wednesday is a must win for the Blades. If the Tigers and Hitmen can come back from being down 2-0 and win the series so can the Blades. Anything is possible!!!

Well im actually suprised it took till game 2 to for the refs to screw things up on the Blades, who is Zalasky and Herman gonna give more respect to McCrimmon or our asst coach David Struch.? i called this before the series started that **** wont go down with Lorne back behind the bench.

Not really sure you can blame the officials for either game. The Blades took too many stupid penalties and it looked like they were warned numerous times about the chintzy stuff. They just refused to stop doing it and got called on it.

I don't think the Penalties made any difference and if both games had 0 penalites the scores would have been

5-1 For Brandon in the first game as you score 3 Power Play goals and actually scored a short handed goal to Brandons 1 power play goal

2-1 For Brandon in the second game.

We are not a Power Play specialist team and are easily the best team 5 on 5 against anyone in the League

What is killing the Blades is anytime the try to open it up the Wheaties are more then willing to go end to end and shot for shot. Doing that against a team 4 lines deep is tough to do.

The Blades have nullified the first and second lines effectively but the 3rd and 4th lines just rolled over the blades 3rd and 4th lines and 3rd pairing defence.

Now your coming to Brandon were you will not have first change and KM will be throwing out the 1st and 2nd line against those bottom pairings.

While I won't count out the Blades you have to admit it is not looking good

Best of 7 series means that you need 4 games to win. Meaning that a game isn't won in 2 games or 3 but you need 4! This would mean your only half way there.
And as a hockey player who has come back from being down 3-0 series knows you don't play to win the game! You play to win your shift, and the period. 1 period at a time is all it takes.
One other thing! I really, really, really hope that there is a power trip of officiating in Brandon who feed of the boos of a home town crowd. It would make my day to hear the colony start up and realize officiating can have an effect on a game.

I had been really impressed with how the fans on both sides of this series had been very respectful towards each other, suddenly that's changed.. Too bad really. We are fans supporting our teams, nothing wrong with that, does it need to lead to personal attacks and broad sweeping insults? I'm sure Wintoneak and Inglis would be proud..

Anyway, best of luck to the Blades, I still think the Wheaties are far from done in this series, as you said, one team has to win 4..

Might want to upgrade your Vic 20 to a 21st century computer. The WHL website offers the games live for a small price. I watched the game too. You may have to save up your cans and bottles and pay to watch your over matched Blades lose in Brandon. That is, if your not gonna take your sister out on a date Wednesday.

The first game you were outplayed not by a huge margain but were outplayed for sure, goaltending was the difference that game. Btw WHL WEB TV doesn't do it justice compared to seeing a game live you can go by what you saw on web tv all you want fact is it's choppy and not up to snuff

Brandon deserved game 2 no question about it now lets get ready for game 3 it's gonna be a doozy !!

That was a pretty good article, and I have to agree that the Blades are far from done, but have definitely dug themselves a hole.

However, the latter half of the article, and I realize that Lez isn't saying that personally, rather that is what he has heard, seems very hard to fathom. I know that of those teams listed, they do seem to have fairly good success, but are people really suggesting that the WHL is telling the refs to go harder on other teams just so those teams can win? Does the OHL tell the refs to screw over anyone who is playing the Spitfires? To me, it seems a little farfetched, but that is my opinion. I'd prefer to think that there are very intelligent hockey people behind the scenes of these organizations (not to take away from the other teams) that have brought in the right players and personnel to run successful franchises.

I too would like to believe that the WHL has alot more integrity than that.

Its a good facility. If you are staying at the Canad you can eat and drink all day, go to the game, then go cry in your beer at the Tavern or go celebrate the win(at your own risk) at the Roadhouse, without ever leaving the facility.

Not sure if they are doing it still(don't know why they wouldn't be) but the Prime Rib buffet at the Roadhouse before the game is very good for like 11 or 12 bucks.

Not sure if I'll be in for the weekend or not.

I agree with you on all fronts, especially losing out. LOL. Saskatoon is an awesome town. My brother inlaw is stationed in Dundurn, so I go there from time to time. Clean city lots to do. Not a cesspool like Regina. You do develop in a good environment, so Pats fans are at a loss from day one. This still has the makings of a great series, game 3 here we come!!

He never actually threw a punch with it, he got his gloves in Urboms face, Urbom threw the gloves off, so did Niemi, Niemi got the taped hand on Urboms jersey and tried to pull him down or throw him back and the hand came up and caught him.

Either way, can't fault the league if they give him one game, if I was making the decision, there wouldn't be a suspension tho.

my point is he already had a half a fight in...so should they give him 2:30 in penalties??...he shoulda just fought the guy and maybe just maybe the refs miss it...just seemed like he baled after he knew he was in for a fight after the haymaker landed....not only that but niemi started that fight by punching the guy....just becuase the wk dropped his gloves first doesnt mean he started the fight.
