On paper looks like a good pick in Tim McGauley

Thanks to Small things at large blog for the stats

#20, Saskatoon:
Tim McGauley - C, 5'11", 163 lb GP G A Pts PIM
08-09: Balgonie Prairie Storm 26 12 23 35 0
09-10: Lumsden/Bethune Lions 26 57 46 103 30
09-10: Lumsden/Bethune Lions 6 15 7 22 8
09-10: Sask First 4 2 2 4 n/a

Thought maybe they'd go for a d-man since they're thin at the 94 age group d-men but they seem to have gotten a sniper and hopefully he'll do as well as Ryan Keller did when he was a Blade.

went for a scoring forward in the first round. punishing defender in the second.

and i agree trav. no matter forward or defense you have to be able to skate and play with discipline.

I think there's only one players thats six foot or over, alot of small skilled guys being selected. Of course not all of these guys will make the WHL but nice to see the team is finally going with offensive skill and speed.

Hey guys, big RAIDER fan here. However, Nikkel is an unbelievable pick for you guys. Just more proof of what a great scouting staff you guys have! Nikkel is in the same mold as Duncan Siemens, big, mean and probably even more mobile and smarter with the puck. You're gonna love him. Hate to say it, but with the draft picks the last few years, my prediction is 2013 Memorial Cup Champs = Blades. Benson, Thrower, Siemens in 2008 draft are unbelievable picks. I should change my name to RaiderBlade Believer! All aforementioned players great kids! And what's even better .... we all hate the WheatKings!
