Garnet Kazuik, Director of Scouting for the Kootenay Ice Hockey Club announced the club has selected 11 players in the 21st annual WHL Bantam Draft. All of the players selected are at least one year away from playing regularly in the WHL.

Garnet Kazuik announced Forward Sam Reinhart has been selected 15th overall by the club in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft.

“Reinhart, the brother of Ice Forward Max Reinhart, is a Center that is a power forward and has exceptional skating skills,” commented Kazuik. “His late birthday means that he is still developing his skills and has already shown he can be effective on both ends of the ice. We are excited to welcome Sam to the Kootenay ICE organization.”

“We are very happy with the selections we made today. We added speed and skill which we felt was very important to our success on the ice. Overall, we know that our picks still have two to three years to develop and become great players within our organization,” commented Kazuik.
