The defenceman factory known as the Kelowna Rockets were front and centre in Las Vegas Wednesday.

Former Rockets Duncan Keith and Tyler Myers were both in the running for National Hockley League trophies and both took home the hardware.

Keith was voted winner of the Norris Trophy as the NHL's best defenceman. The Blackhawks rearguard beat out Drew Doughty (Los Angeles) and Mike Green (Washington) for the honour.

Myers out-voted Matt Duchene (Colorado) and Jimmy Howard (Detroit) for the Calder Trophy as the NHL's top rookie.

The 20-year-old Myers was also named to the league's all-rookie team.

"I can't believe I'm at this point right now," says Myers.

For Keith, the accolade came on the heels of a Stanley Cup championship and an Olympic Gold Medal.

"It's just been a whirlwind," says Keith.

"It seems like it's one thing after the next. You want to get rest, you want to sleep, but at that same time you don't want to miss any of the fun."
