That's very bad news for the WK's. Makes me believe even more that we build hard for the next 2 years, play the kids a lot this year....

Probably the best thing for him. Instead of trying to make it work. Get it scoped then sit out for a few months and come back after christmas

He hurt it at training camp, been struggling with it ever since. How long have other guys been out after similar injury/surgery?

Since he is walking around on it right now its probably not serious. If thats the case 1 to 2 months after the scope is done is usually a good recovery time. I know people that got it done when it wasn't serious and were back on skates in a month.

The list continues...

Jordan Fransoo has been playing with a broken left foot and will be out indefinitely, while David Toews suffered a high ankle sprain and will miss 6-8 weeks. Rene Hunter also suffers from a hip flexor.

Add to that that the likelyhood of Schenn coming back decreased today, and its going to be a tough few weeks.

Obviously we'll really miss Ferland and Fransoo. Toews so far has been ok, but not spectacular.

Guess this saves Schneiders ass for two months.

Yeah Toews was very unimpressive in my first viewing of the year.

They put one of the guys he was competing against for a spot on waivers.
