Krzyzaniak On Move & Other Notes
The Brandon Wheat Kings have reduced their roster to 27 players.

The club has designated 18-year old defenceman Kyle Krzyzaniak for assignment.

Krzyzaniak appeared in one game with Brandon this season, going pointless with a +1 rating.

The move leaves Brandon with 16 forwards, eight defencemen and three goaltenders on their active roster.

Multiple sources indicate Krzyzaniak's WHL rights have been traded to the Spokane Chiefs.

His Junior A rights belong to the SJHL's Humboldt Broncos.

He's not a WHL caliber defenseman

From Luber's Lounge:

It looks like Kyle Krzyzaniak will end up with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Dauphin Kings -- for now.

The 18-year old defenceman was designated for assignment by the Wheat Kings over the weekend and is expected to have a conditioning stint with Dauphin before joining the Spokane Chiefs.

Krzyzaniak's Junior A rights actually belong to the SJHL's Humboldt Broncos, but the Kings are in the process of acquiring them.

That could come when the Chiefs make their trip into the WHL's East Division in early November.

Yesterday, I reported that Krzyzaniak's WHL rights had been traded to Spokane, although an official announcement has yet been made.
