It is very possible the Blades will be missing several forwards just after christmas. Ryan Olsen and Levi Bews have made the Team Pacific roster this morning, not to much surprise. Also, prospect Brett Stovin who is doing very well with Interlake in Midget this year and had a brief stint early on with Saskatoon has made Team West.

Also, the Blades are very likely to lose forward Curtis Hamilton to the world junior camp and quite possibly to the World Junior Championships as well.

Stefan Elliott has a better than 50-50 chance to make the World Junior team as well but there is such a log jam on defence for Team Canada so that may make it hard for him.

Gormley, Gudbranson, De Haan, Cowen, Ellis seem like forsures! leaving just 2 spots for:
Despres, Doherty, Murphy, Harrington, Elliott, Mackenzie, Pysyk, Barrie, Macnabb, Ponich and Manning.
