Here as i type this the Pats are up 4-0 with just under 2mins left in the game, PA took a beating tonight by the Hitmen so the Pats gain 2 pts on the Raiders with 3 games in hand still. One of those games in hand comes tomorrow nite when the Hurricanes visit the Brandt Center. The Canes currently are leading the WKs 4-3 late in the 2nd period as well.

Weal put up 3pts (as of right now) & Ketlo looks like he has played very solid. He must play good if he wants to see the crease much more this season. He must make a tough choice for Hunt & Sutter on who to start.

the Pats have defiantely dominated the Broncos this year.Ketlo stopped an amazing 47 shots.Giving up that many shots again is a concern. It is nice to have 2 goalies on top of their game right now.All the games from now on are huge games but tomorrow nights game vs Lethbridge is going to be a dandy!!!

Well listening to the game for the most part it sounded like a ton of those shots were from the outside & any goalie will tell you they will face as many of those as the other team wants to throw on net.

Brandons up now 6-4, it could get interesting

yes things are getting very interesting at the end of january... im sure no 1 expected the Pats to be right back into the thick of things, especially at looking back at the start of december & after we traded both Ashton & Frazee.

With 3 games in hand on the Raiders things favour the Pats (but only if we win those games) we still play PA 3 more times this year as well.

Then my guess is they get 2 extra home games and get their asses handed to them ? just a guess

Playoffs? you guys are talking about the Pats making the playoffs? It will be a tight race in the east with all teams still in the hunt

thats ok even if we did only get 2 home games against the Blades, the Blades will still choke in the 2nd round... i look into my magic 8 ball & i see Standford getting a injury & the Schenn deal going for nothing in the end.

ahhh would i love to see that happen, if the Blades match up against the Warriors 2nd round the Warriors beat the Blades in there own game by trying to bully there way thru everyone. I know why no 1 goes to CUC to watch the Blades cuz they play even a more boring style the Hunt gets the Pats to play, chip it in & go crash & bang & scare the 17yr old Dmen so they turn it over. (i love being drunk & being a complete dick about things) Blades fans will be let down again this year by not making it to the Conference Finals & giving up a ton of picks to get golden boy Schenn

Playoffs? you guys are talking about the Pats making the playoffs? It will be a tight race in the east with all teams still in the huntYes, people are talking about the Pats making the playoffs. Does that really sound that ridiculous, considering that Pats sit 3pts behind PA for the final playoff seed at the moment, with 3 games in hand on them and 2 games on Brandon. Lethbridge sits 1pt behind the Pats in the same situation as us.

Because it's so tight right now, with all the teams I mentioned within reach of even 7th and 6th spots, ya...people are going to be talking about the playoffs. With it staying this tight over the past couple of weeks, the race can and will likely stretch to the end of the season.

The way the Pats have been playing in the second half, there is no reason not to talk about the Pats and the playoffs.

Sorry if this seemed like a bit much in a response, but I thought it sounded pretty ridiculous that you make a comment like that.

geez you think swifty would nut up, and maybe be more motivated to play against a team thats beaten you 6 times in a row...nevermind one thats chasing you in the standings for a playoff spot.

Id certainly be pissed if the shoe was on the other foot.

wow ,if only the Pats played with as much grit as the posters on this thread.Take a deep breath FIGHT GUY , The Pats are playing good hockey ,they have tightened things up defensively and have had responsible goaltending on most nights. It will be a dogfight to make the playoffs as the Pats could finish 6th or they could finish last .It will go down to the wire. The Pats key to making the playoffs will be to establish consistency

The only reason the Pat's or the Canes have a chance at the playoffs is because the bottom 5 or 6 teams in the East are all pretty lousy. 7th and 8th place are their for the taking by which ever team puts together some wins. I don't think 6th is attainable as the top 5 are pulling away and then I think Edmonton will take 6th.
Canes just beat the Pat's in OT so now they are tied for 9th with 41 points each. Only 2 points out of 8th with 2 games in hand on PA. One of the Canes or Pat's could be in a playoff spot in a week or so.

Both the Pats and 'Canes are currently 6 pts back of the broncos...and have 4 games in hand. 6th seems very attainable at this point.

But your skipping over Edmonton who I believe are going to pull away from the bottom dwellers and get 6th. I do think Swift will be down with the rest of us soon fighting for 7th and 8th.

I think you're right! Going to be a dog fight for the final 2 spots (only to blitzed by Sasky and Red Deer!!), between Swifty, PA, Leth, Regina and Brandon

There you go. Edmonton is now in 6th and I think will stay there. I don't think they will catch any of the top 5 teams and none of the sad sack bottom 6 will catch them. Barring any major injuries, I think the top 6 will end up pretty much in the order they are today. I have no idea what order the bottom 6 will finish in, except maybe Calgary ends up in last place. That is not certain either as Calgary has been playing a lot better lately. It would not surprise me to see Regina or Lethbridge in 7th or 11th place.

Red Deer isnt as strong as some people think they are.... yes they have the next best goalie behind Stanford with Keumper it all depends who match up against them really. Outside of just the last game every game the Pats & Rebels have played have been within 1 goal, the most recent game the Pats came out flat & Red Deer took advantage of it. Red Deer doesnt impress me at all, Moose Jaw looks better then Red Deer does.

I personally think both the Pats & Canes (barring injuries to key guys) will make the playoffs, the Broncos are in a constant down fall & the Raiders there goaltending is way to suspect to be a serious contender for the playoffs, plus they traded away 1 of there biggest offensive spark plugs to the Warriors along with there most vetern Dman to Seattle. It pretty much looks like the Raider threw in the towel to receive a higher draft pick instead of playoff experience.
