Kent, WA - Seattle Thunderbirds General Manager Russ Farwell today announced the Seattle Thunderbirds will not be renewing the contract of Head Coach Rob Sumner for the 2011-12 season.

"Rob has contributed a great deal to our organization during his time here and we would like to thank him for his years of service with the Thunderbirds," said Farwell. "He was a dedicated and loyal member of our team for 15 years and we appreciate his efforts to help the Thunderbirds grow as an organization."

The search for a new Head Coach will begin immediately

it will be interesting to see who they pick up, alot of there players are good but need to develop they have alot of exciting players coming in next year as well such as jared hauf, theodore, kerfoot, jetlan houcher, jason ness, and connor honey

seattle definately has a good nucleus of players coming back , has anyone heard who the front runners for the job would be ?
