I'm not sure if anyone cares or not, but looks like Brayden Schenn's season has been extended by the LA Kings. They will assign him to the Manchester Monarchs. According to Rich Hammond the Kings official blogger:

Official word is expected to come shortly, but the Kings have decided to assign prospect Brayden Schenn to Manchester of the AHL, rather than have him join the Kings.

I wonder if he will be uniform tonight for Game 1 against Binghamton?

If anyone is interested the game is on the radio on the Monarchs' site.

According to Twitter, looks like Marek Viedensky is being called up to San Jose and Stefan Elliott is heading to Lake Erie in the AHL.

Nice to see that more Blades than just Schenn are getting pro chances. I feel bad for Marek though, since the Sharks' AHL team, Worcester, didn't make the AHL playoffs, he has to go to San Jose and likely not see any ice time.

Stefan Elliott potential first game is Saturday in Cleveland at 11 AM. Lake Erie's series is against the Manitoba Moose, so games 3 and 4 will go in Winnipeg. So any Blades fans near the Manitoba capital, could go see him play. It looks like Lake Erie doesn't have any radio broadcasts in Cleveland, so best way to follow that series is to listen via CJOB from Winnipeg. Apparently, the link to listen is http://www.cjob.com/Sports/MooseReport.aspx

Looks great for some of the Blades extending their hockey season. Has anyone heard if Zahn is going down to join the Tampa Bay system (Admirals)? After the Blades playoff season, he deserves it as much as anyone.

I would think with him being a 7th round pick, if he is going to go pro this playoff season, it would have been the ECHL. Since the Florida Everblades lost their first round series, I can't see him going anywhere.

Have the Lightning made any in roads as far as a contract offer or anything? Generally, players who are picked that late, a second time around, don't get ATOs. Granted, my knowledge of this stems from the Kings' system where 7th rounders are generally longshots. I'm not sure any of the Kings' recent 7th round picks have gone on to pro in their system.

I agree he has played well for the Blades this year though.

Don't expect Elliott to see a ton of minutes with the Monsters.
