The Kelowna Rockets have played host to every major junior-hockey event but one. On Tuesday, Bruce Hamilton crossed it off his list.
This winter, Kelowna will host the 2012 Home Hardware CHL Top Prospects Game on Feb. 1. The annual contest showcases the CHL’s top-40 players who are eligible for the NHL’s 2012 draft.
“I’ve wanted to have this for a long time,” said Hamilton, the Rockets’ president and general manager. “This event provides our fans to chance to see the next wave of NHL talent from across the CHL.”
