CTV Vancouver reported on Monday night that former Vancouver Canucks forward Rick Rypien has been found dead in his home. Rypien was 27.

I am at a loss for words.

Ryper was everything that a hockey player should be. Never cheated anybody when he was on the ice and a great human being off the ice.

Rest in peace, Ryper! Hockey will never be the same.

tragic story of a kid that battled injuries ,had a great work ethic and one of the best fighters in the league, but as noted above...solid character ...he will be missed
