Wonder if Duncan Siemens of the Saskatoon Blades is a typo in the 2nd game as Assistant as he is an Assistant in game 1.
All the other players are only once.

Great improvement for Gally this year over last. Still no goals and no assists but at least he climbed up from a -2 to a 0.

Gallagher and Sundher not playing this evening. Wonder if they pissed off the coach or from what I saw last night both played crappy especially our man.
14 min in penalties.
Almost positive he blew his chance for the Worlds..................

They were never scheduled to play tonight, rosters change each night and new players come into line-up. Gally will be on World Jr. team. Subway Series is just one step in the process, the main step is getting invite to December Prep Camp and with all these processes they take your whole body of work in evaluating you, so don't count out Kevin.

yeah if you looked at the news article regarding the Subway series it laid out the line-ups for each night. Curious how two Saskatoon Blades were in both line-ups and the lone Giant wasn't playing the second night, esp since Hayzer was the head coach and Rockets and Blades coaches the assistants. Might just be that the games being played in Saskatchewan.

Anyway WHL lost the second game tonight 7-5, I guess they needed Gally :p  ;)

Four straight Russian goals in the third! WHL allow a 5-3 lead become a 7-5 loss, I don't think the Eastern teams play defense very well and their forwards might not back-check like the Western Conference.. just sayin' :p not biased or anything ;)

Was really suprised to see that either game was not a sell out. Many empty seats in each barn.

Not really . Regina doesn't draw much more for their own team and about 3500 tickets were given to season ticket holders so the walk up was around 1000-1200 . In MJ no free tickets (surprise surprise ) and only lower 6 rows and ends were left. So 20 bucks to walk blocks in a snowstorm & sit in crappy seats or watch at home easy choice there.

The people who didnt go to the games missed great hockey games the best hockey games that will be played in either building this year as far as skill wise. The Russians were a great treat to watch, soft team (which isnt a surprise for russians) but skill wise most had higher skill then any of the WHLers....

If the Russians wouldnt back down from the physical style they could own all 6 games in this series, especially with the fact they bring over pretty much 90% of there actual World Junior team making them the best players for that age group in russia where we can only dress the best players for each individual league.
