Just wanted to say congratulations to 17 year old Carson Perreaux and 17 year old Riley Guenther, both getting their first WHL goals last night.
And a shout-out to 17 year old Sawyer Lang who got the sole assist on 17 year old Logan McVeigh's game-tying goal at the midpoint of the 3rd. Lange was also a plus layer last night.
Cole Holowenko, used to seeing more rubber than a tire factory, shut the door after the mid-point in the third, faced no shots in overtime, and stoned all three attackers in the shootout for the win.
The team still took stupid penalties (Corbin's second delay of game penalty in as many games) but they also took advantage of an ailing Kooteney squad to beat the best goaltender in our Conference for 5 goals and hung on for the 2 points.
