Great win tonight against Regina. McNeill line was outstanding defensively against the Weal line, keeping Weal off the scoresheet.
Several Raiders had their best games of the year:
Holowenko was zoned in on the puck and had a real strong game. Few rebounds, and froze the puck whenever it got scrambly at the net.
Yawarski was tough to play against in the Raider end, and got a couple of assists. Made a great pinch to knock a Pat off the puck and get the puck to Bardaro for his 1st of the game.
Bardaro scored his 2nd on a highlight reel dangle that will certainly be on the WHL Plays of the Week. He looked comfortable and in control all game.
Corbin had a great defensive game as well. Used his size and was more physical than he has been in a long time. He is taking a bit of velocity off his shot the last 6 or 7 games, but hitting the net a lot more. His goal was a nice 1- timer from the point.
Danyluk is finally returning to his early-season form after recovering from his injury and is getting a lot of pucks to the net.
Good win. Entertaining game with the Raiders winning most of the fights and the battles as well as the game. look forward to Friday against Medicine Hat.
