Victoria, BC - The Victoria Royals will have a the ultimate 'superfan' Cameron Hughes cheering them on tomorrow night when they host the Vancouver Giants for Military Night at the Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m.
Hughes has brought his energy and enthusiasm to sports arenas around North America as a true sports 'superfan'. He has led the cheering sections of professional sports teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Toronto Blue Jays, Los Angeles Lakers and Ottawa Senators. Cameron was also a part of the cheering crowds at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, as well as the 2011 U.S. Tennis Open.

Saturday night is also Canadian Forces Appreciation Night. Military vehicles will be on display outside of Gate 1, as well as military themed displays throughout the concourse. Those in attendance can look for various giveaways courtesy of the Canadian Forces during the course of the game.

Fans are invited to join the Royals in a pre-game ceremony honouring the return of the HMCS Vancouver. The Naden Band of Maritime Forces Pacific will also present the Canadian National Anthem.

Saturday's 50/50 draw will be in support of the Military Family Resource Centre, while the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck will benefit the Sea, Air and Army Cadets.

Fans will also be able to bid on Zane Jones and Dakota Conroy's game worn 'Pink in the Rink' jerseys at the Guest Services desk on the concourse. The bidding will begin Saturday evening and continue until the second intermission of the Royals' Sunday afternoon contest against the Vancouver Giants.

Sunday, March 4th

Signature Sunday sees the conclusion of the Royals' two game series against the Vancouver Giants. Puck drop is set for 1:05 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to bring their own helmets and skating gear to join the Royals on the ice following the conclusion of Sunday's game for a Skate with the Players lasting approximately 45 minutes.

During the first intermission, those in attendance can take part in the Coke Zero Frisbee Toss, with the chance to win a supply of Coke Zero for a year, a pair of Canucks' playoff tickets, and 2012-13 Royals' Season Tickets. The second intermission will see Maple Leaf Foods distributing Keg Steakhouse gift cards through their promotion.

MEG Energy will be donating $50.00 to KidSport for every Royals' shot on goal during Sunday's contest. They will also be distributing 3,000 MEG Hockey pucks following the game.

Sunday's 50/50 draw is in support of the Victoria Athletic Association, while the Old House Village Chuck-A-Puck contest will benefit the Greater Victoria Aquatic Society.

He defiantly gets the crowd going, albeit I am sure anyone could do the same thing if paid enough.:rolleyes:

Looks like a one-trick pony to me. See his schtick for a couple of minutes, you've seen it all. People liked him but he's definitely a one-shot deal. Guess it makes him some decent coin, tho - judging by his website and tour schedule :)
