Not sure who all watched the final tonite on Sportsnet between Shawinigan Cataractes & London Knights but it was truely a game where junior hockey was at its finest.

Gormley/Ellis & Harrington/Tinordi were beasts on the backend all tournament long for both sides. Can throw in Maatta as well who will be a top 10 pick in this years NHL Draft. After his Memorial Cup/playoff performances he could very well get drafted higher then Reinhardt/Dumba/Rielly heck maybe even Murray as well.

Also another thing i noticed is some of the best players in the tournament were the 3 russians Vladislav Namestnikov (LDN) Kirill Kabanov & Anton Zlobin (SHA) Zlobin did score 40 times in the regular season & got2 in the Memorial Cup final including the game winner... i thought all 3 of these players were noticeable for the right reasons during the whole tournament. I wish the WHL would bring over some russian players, they have a ton of skill reguardless of what anyone thinks about the russians no 1 can deny that they got skill. Even at the subway series there overall skill was definately higher then the WHL teams just yes the thing that hurts all russian teams is they dont play a physical style, mix them in with the canadian kids like London & Shawinigan did & u can see the results that they bring.

Looking foward to the Saskatoon Tournament next year, im definately going to be taking in a few games maybe even buy a full package (neverhard to find tickets for these events as people are always selling them in the papers after even if u gotta pay abit more then face value, its still quality hockey)

here is what i found for ticket prices/packages.... i dont think individual game tickets go on sale until maybe the game day or abit before... the Blades must also keep so many packages available for the other teams coming not sure off hand but for some reason when the Pats hosted it 100 tickets for each competing team must be left on the table & they cant be all crap seats either also along with blocks as they try to keep certain teams fans all together (but not a must on every single ticket)

SASKATOON, SK – The ticket package pricing and on-sale dates for the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup have been released.

The package prices are broken down into six different categories ranging from $95 to $595, plus GST and applicable service fees. Those packages include the entire tournament, which will cover a minimum of eight games.

“We feel that these prices will give everyone an opportunity to come out and attend this world class event”, said 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup Host Committee Co-Chair Jack Brodksy.

“That spread in prices from $95 to $595 will allow anybody in the city and the surrounding area to come out to these games.”

Saskatoon Blades season ticket holders who purchase 2012-2013 season seats before August 31, 2012 will have the first chance to reserve their same seats for the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup.

Those same season ticket holders will also be offered a chance to buy additional MasterCard Memorial Cup ticket packages (up to the number of season seats they hold) once all Blades season seats and Blades sponsor seats have been spoken for (so long as 2,000 packages remain for public sale).

“The 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup is a Canadian Hockey League event. It’s truly the tournament of champions for junior hockey and because of that, we just felt that junior hockey fans deserved the first chance at ticket packages”, added Brodsky.

Given that season seats for the 2012-2013 year are not on sale to the general public until the spring of 2012, the best way to get the seats you want is to buy those seats for the remainder of this season.

Despite the fact that Saskatoon Blades season ticket holders will get the first chance at tickets and reserving their same seat, every single level of hockey fan has been thought of in this ticket plan.

A pricing breakdown and ticket release dates can be found on the next page or online at www.saskatoonblades.com.

Very reasonable prices, I can`t remember how much they were in 2010...I think $500...it`s an unforgettable experience too. You will have a blast, and it could be a one in a life time event, don`t miss out.

Ditto. Mind you, I expect the Blades will get to host again after the way Saskatoon supported the WJC, I think Brandon being a smaller center will never have the chance to host again

I preferred Brandon hosting it over the Vancouver hosting of it. In Vancouver it went unnoticed because of the size of the city.Joe average had no idea the Memorial Cup was in town. In Brandon, everybody knew what was going on and it was proudly displayed throughout the town by many many many local businesses and individuals. Yes,of course there is more to do in Vancouver, but it will co$t you big bucks for everything you do while there!

the Memorial cup was a very big deal in Vancouver.Every game was a sellout. The excitement of the Memorial cup rocked the city. The exhibits and pavilions with the souvenirs and jerseys and photos of previous tournaments made it an unforgetable event.Big market venues make the CHL a ton of cash
