was at last night camp and impressed by a list player"Hardarson" Strong, big, solid prospect. Best d-man was "Donald" but "Williams was not there.
Churchill and Goya were the tenders and Churchill looked good square to the shot, covered the angles and quick.
Will be at the Sunday work out. and make a post then
Ant one else see the camp and what are your thoughts

Hope you make it as another opinion is always better. And you have a good knoledge of the game.

What is your thoughts on the 20 year old tender trades already in the league.

walked past the Brandt on the way to various venues for the Mosiac festival.I stuck my head in to see what was going on.The boys were doing dryland. It looked like a big tall group of prospects. It will be nice to see some size in the future for the Pats as they have been a smaller team the past few seasons.

Well Rimmer will get a full work load in LETH & we will see what is he truely made of instead of playing on a powerful TC team.

As for Glover he is avg at best & not much into this trade besides to help the loss of Pickard (that is if there is no lockout)

I still expect Hewitt to be moved at some point (to PG), with our current roster set up & our 20yr olds being more depth type players (no real elite type guy besides Scheidl, who can definately score but will see without Weal if no lockout) Underwood is needed for some vetern presence on the backend & Conacher is a huge supporter of Reider.... If Jobke happens to come back then that makes Underwood expendable, & if Weal comes back due to a lockout the WHL/CHL is considering adding a 4th 20yr old so he would be the 4th, dont see a spot for Hewitt on our roster at all. Especially with how Beukeboom played he is a big body & has the tools to be a quality goaltender in the WHL even at age 18

Also i like the pickup Lang did from waivers for Locke Muller from SAS, he isa big kid a 6'2 195lbs the Pats lack size upfront & there is no risk in adding him if he doesnt work out move on. He has never really put up any points but he does play physical, something the Pats need upfront. At age 19 u just never know some of these players take off at age 19 & surprise alot of people in the league. Even if he fills the role of Olstad it will work out for the Pats in the long run. Olstad may of been a midget but was 1 of our hardest workers on a nightly basis

Things i noted at Sunday's session

Hardarson was still a stand out. He was wearing a half sheild and all the others were full cages. Looked back through the 2011 and 2010 drafts and did not find him. Not sure what all that means but good on Chal Lang he has found a keeper.

Churchill was the best tender of the two, square to the shot and battled to make the save. Even noticed him pushing the player that was screening him. He has a beard that some of the NHLers would be proud of for a playoff run,

Erik Donald on "D" was very good position wise always kept the forwards to the out side. Big and solid on his skates.
Mumby's skating looks ackward but seemed to be able to keep up with that age group but may have trouble in a full camp.

Didn't get a name but one forward missed receiving, three in a row, hard passes. Angus Scott has a very hard shot. The two 2nd round picks in 2010from Winnipeg looked average.

Agree with West Coast's post we did have a lot more size and the whole session was up tempo

Looking good for 2013/14 and 2014/15

If any one knows about the forward "Hardarson"please let us in on it. Were he is from and age and size. From the sessions I'm quessing 6' 2" 180 to 190 lbs

Just stopped by briefly. My first observation was how big the kids were. Two guys that caught my eye were Reagan and Cole. Reagan is big and skates well. Did not shy away from the physical stuff. Needs to work on positioning in his own end and angling the player off the puck. Cole can fly. Good, no great wheels, decent hands. Needs to get stronger on the puck.

Hardarson is from the States. I think the Pats listed him after the US developmental camp. He is an older kid (18). The Pats need some depth at that age group.

I agree with your assessment. I thought Donald was a more complete player. But, I only watched about 30 minutes. The book on Mumby is that he has high end talent, but doesn't always apply himself. He is only 16 and a lot of things can change.

Witness, thanks for the info. I thought the US camps was for 15 and 16 year olds. I agree we are much better size wise.

Was surprised by the Leader Post this morning and the article on Brooks. Thought he was adequate but no stand out.
