From the "Small Thoughts" blog here are the number of prospects from each of the east Division teams that are playing in the Mac Midget over the Christmas break. (Brandon-9)(Saskatoon-10)(Prince Albert-11)(Swift Current-8)(Moose Jaw-6)(Regina-10). The lest of any WHL team is 3 and the most is 12. Interesting in that when you remove a WHL team rooster from the protected list that leaves 24 or 25 players so all but moose Jaw have about 40% of the remaining protected list playing in the best Midget tournament in Western Canada. That could be a result of good scouting or the players just play on good midget teams
