CHL Import Draft

Anyone know what the Raiders are looking for in this draft? Personally I would like to see a 19 year old Euro goalie but this is very unlikely.

They will be looking for a defensive defenseman to take the place of Ruopp.
Raiders have the 37th & 97th pick. With Leon being a lock to return, they will likely only select their 1st round pick. With Jonas being both an overage & an import, he may be traded or released.

As far as the 37th pick goes, we are deep at forward and goal, so I'm hoping for a quality defenseman.

With the 37th pick, Raiders selected 1995-born Tomas Andrlik, 6'0, 176 lb. left defense, from the Czech republic.

Sounds like he plays more like Petr Svoboda than like Frantisek Kaberle.

Certainly hope he reports.
