I started this thread a while ago, but it has since been deleted. So here goes a new thread.

It is great to see that Zach Boychuk was the Player of the Month in the American Hockey League for March 2014. He earned another one of his many call ups to the NHL, this time with his original team, the Carolina Hurricanes.

Is Boychuk destined to be a permanent AHL level player, or will he finally stick with the big club this time? Time will tell, but I wish him nothing but great luck.

I remember watching him in the WHL during his 16 year old season back in 2005-06 when he was all of 5'7" and 145 pounds. I kept thinking that kid is gonna get killed out there on the Enmax ice. He proved me wrong that year when he put up some really decent numbers. Zach turned out to be the best 16 year old in the league. I think he lost the rookie of the year voting to some 17 year old Sutter!

While Boychuk may be a career AHL player, he worked fr!gg!n hard to get where he is at. Way to go Zach.

I too have noticed that he is doing really well in the AHL, but just cant seem to stick in the NHL.
Always great to see him get a call up.

Colton Sceviour has been playing very good this season too. Great to see.

What ever happen to Kyle Beach? Wasn't he a first round pick?

Beach has pretty much wasted away to a 3rd or 4th liner in the AHL.

His only big numbers are his penalty minutes. Rockford had enough of Beach and sent him to Sweden this year, but the Swedish team sent him back after 7 games as they did not want him. He has 2 goals in his last 37 games in the AHL. What a wasted talent.

Yes it is great to see Colton Sceviour playing very good this season. Is he also a career AHLer though?

I would like to know if anyone knows what happened to Mitch Fadden after his disaster in Salmon Arm in around 2010 or 2011?

Zach Boychuk got in one game and has now been sent back to Charlotte. Unfortunately I think this back-and-forth career may be as good as it gets for him.

Colton Sceviour has been with the Dallas Stars for quite a few games now. He has 10 points in 20 games and it appears he may just be staying for awhile.

As for Mitch Fadden I talked to a family friend who is very well versed on the whereabouts and what not of former Hurricanes. I was told that after a short stint in the ECHL two season ago (where he actually put up some good numbers) he has not played for a couple of years.

Might be tough it play pro hockey if they won't let you across the border.

I know all about that. That is why I said "what happened to Mitch Fadden after his disaster in Salmon Arm in around 2010 or 2011?" I have not been able to find any details about what happened to him because of what he did. A guy could do time for those kind of charges.

Too bad Boychuk and Carter Ashton can't stick with the big clubs. If I am correct, Sceviour, Luca Sbisa and Dwight King are the only players from the 2007-08 team that are in the NHL right now.

Seabrook played his last season in Lethbridge in 2004-2005.
