There has been some off ice issue and controversy surrounding Winnipeg Jets star and former Giant Evander Kane. One writer even went so far, as to accuse the Winnipeg media of being racist for reporting of Kane's off ice troubles.

I know there was some kind of incident in Vancouver recently, where a local from Vancouver was suing Kane for allegedly assaulting him. I just wanted to know what Evander Kane was like in the WHL, and as a member of the Giants.
Do you think there is any truth to what the writer claims (that Kane is singled out because of his skin color)? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
