Who all had made petitions to host the Memorial Cup?

Or was this by acclaimation? (No one else wanting this one.)

I believe Vancouver is the only team that submitted a bid for the 2007 Memorial Cup.

After attending the mem cup in Kelowna, I now plan to attend all tournaments when they are hosted by the WHL. To do a little preplanning, do you have any idea of hotels that are close to the Pacific Coloseum?

Both these hotels have offered deals for the Giants in the past, no Idea if they will for the Mem. Cup.

Holiday Inn North Vancouver - Offer a discount, about 10 mins. Driving from the Rink, just have to cross the bridge. http://www.hinorthvancouver.com/van...ockey_team.html

Holiday Inn Express - Right by the rink, a 10 minute walk from the main entrance.

I'm glad it was apparently by acclimation, as I would have been forced to boycott the tournament otherwise.

Good luck with it Vancouver.

probably if you lock in your rate next June you won't have a problem. Most hotels won't take reservations more than a year in advance. Some it is 6 months.

I do know for World Juniors the Holiday Inn Express jacked up thier rates to $229 a night I think it is.
