Seattle, July 28, 2005 The Seattle Thunderbirds are pleased to announce that

with the St. Louis Blues. FitzGerald was drafted in the third round, 88th
overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft by the Blues.

Thompson, from Anchorage, Alaska, signed a three- year two-way contract with
the Boston Bruins. Thompson was drafted by the Bruins in the sixth round,
183rd overall, of the 2003 draft.

"Both players improved steadily in their time here," Thunderbirds General
Manager Russ Farwell said. "They were key players for us last year. We are
very happy they have the opportunity to start a pro career."

FitzGerald manned the blue line in Seattle for 248 games over four years. He
had 22 goals and 54 assists for 76 points. FitzGerald finishes his T-Bird

contract to me this morning and I dotted all the I's and crossed the T's and
sent it back to them. I am going to go there and do the best I can.

"I am shooting to make the NHL and that is what I am going do either this
year or in years to come."
