Radio reported that a new rink may be in the plan for pats.
I would sure want concession business as the crowds keep getting larger! Not sure what new owners loose per night in sales.
Look how Winnipeg jets have turned things around! It makes cents. The concession **** in walking area is a joke....put the snow cones in corner by exit door near south east corner! Beer should be served like it is in USA. Tips would reward workers!

Bathrooms are a joke right now with ceilings leaking! Add another wall of pissers!

Not sure what the average sales are per night. It would be nice to have a rink with a lounge and sit down food services regardless. Parking sucks along with ****ty pavement and holes. Get the new Brandt multiplex arena started! The Brandon Canad inns is nice model for food services prior to games. Hotel and rink would be awesome.

I personally think this whole new talk about the owners (Brandt Industries mainly) talking about a new rink is a negotiation tactic in their favour as the lease is up after next season. This time these owners actually have the financial support to go ahead with a new building unlike the Parker's when they tried that talk. Evrz Place can even have a tenant in the building or have it sitting empty for years to come, there needs to be some upgrades to the building like the leaky bathroom ceilings, maybe a new paved parking lot (which I heard is happening when the football stadium is done).

If we think the prices are going to be high for tickets next season just think what tickets will cost if these owners build a new rink, there will be another big increase I'm sure as it will be a privately run rink and not like the 1 in Moose Jaw that the city operates.

I beg to differ about pricing - if the owners have full control of the arena, concessions and all facilities attached to arena then there would be no need to increase ticket prices. An attached restaurant would be nice, go there before game to beat the rush, how about a tunnel to the Casino so we can go roll the dice in between periods? With that said, I don't mind the Brandt Centre at all - our seats are way more comfy than MJ's new plastic garbage ones with no cushioning and I didn't realize how good our new score clock was until I traveled to other arenas - I appreciate it more now. Our parking lot is actually one of the better parking lots...so far. Just wait til the new football stadium and farm progess show / agribition buildings start squeezing out parking and wait til some large events cross-over with Pats games, then parking could be a problem.

I thinks tickets would be same but offer more as a new rink could bundle a lot of things together for families or beer for pats dude! Or gambling for crash and bang. We have some great fans in wheel chairs and I'm not impressed with the bathrooms as they do not accommodate their needs!

People laughed at score talk back in fall! A new rink is a win and looking forward to a concept design that can host NHL game in Saskatchewan as well.

As much of a similar impact a new rink would have on downtown as a new stadium would have had, if not even better, I'm pretty sure it's mostly leverage. A new rink is really not NEEDED yet, but if QCSEG want what they want, they're likely going to make it happen, whether it's major renos to the Brandt Centre or a new rink downtown. As cool as a new rink would be, I'm in favor of renos. It's been in the plans for years now, since the initial plans to fill in the one end with seats. But because Evraz Place doesn't have much money to play with, they won't be doing anything without major help. If the Pats are looking at bidding for the Memorial Cup in 2019, they are going to want some big things done by then as well. It all boils down to whether QCSEG can work with Evraz, which is something Parker was never able to do. With QCSEG's deep pockets though, Evraz will be listening more closely.
