Has anyone heard if the CHL is making any rule changes to the game similar to the NHL's rule changes. Just curious. I personally would love to see the tag up offside rule come back.

The CHL is following suit. Tag up offside is one of the new rules, along with shoot-outs, no two line passes and some others.

The rules should be the same as the NHL exccept for 2 things:
1. Goalie equip. will not change as the manufactorers dont have the time to make new equip. for everybody.
2. Goal line will be done next year in case of building problems so they can be fixed.

It will be interesting how our young defence will fare with the increased forechecking that the tag up rule brings.

Personally I like the rule, it forces the d to make quick decisions. At this level a large amount of those decisions are wrong leading to a lot of scoring chances.
