Kennewick, WA – The Tri-City Americans today are pleased to announce that two of the club’s 50-player list prospects will participate in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA All-Star game to be held Saturday, January 22nd 6 pm in the Prince Albert Communiplex.

17-year-old right wing Jarrid Dowhay (pronounced: Doe-hay) will play for Team North. He has 14 goals, 34 points in 23 games for the Prince Albert Mintos since being returned by the Americans in October after appearing in two games.

Also selected to play for Team North is 16-year-old right wing Taylor Procyshen (pronounced: Pro-sish-in). Procyshen is a member of the Moose Jaw Warriors AAA Midget team. In 32 games, he has 20 goals, 42 points.

In addition, Americans 2004 second round bantam selection Colton Grant was named second star at the 16th annual Alberta Midget Hockey League All-Star game held at the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge, Alberta on January 16th. The 15-year-old Grant has 12 goals, 30 points in 25 games for the UFA Bisons this season. He had one goal in the All-Star contest.

“We are excited for all of these players and look forward to their continued development,” said Americans vice president/general manager Bob Tory. “We all look forward organizationally to seeing all of them in an Americans uniform next season.”

Tonight the Americans return to the Three Rivers Coliseum ice as they host the Vancouver Giants at 7:05 pm. It’s Tri-City Herald Family Night presented by KFFX Fox 11.
