Former Manitoba AAA Midget scoring champion Tyler Dittmer scored three times and set up another Sunday afternoon as the Whites outscored the Black Team 7-6 in the Brandon Wheat Kings' Annual Intrasquad game at the Keystone Centre.

The game marked the conclusion of training camp for the defending WHL Eastern Conference Champions, who will open up their pre-season schedule Friday night against the Broncos in Swift Current.

A member of the 2004 National Midget Champions, Dittmer spent most of last season with the AAA midgets after leaving the WHL club in November. In fifteen games with the Wheaties last season, the 18-year old Dittmer had four assists.

Veteran Codey Burki, a former first round bantam draft choice of the Wheat Kings and Douglas product Brandon Lockerby also had big games for the winners, scoring once and setting up two others. Ryan Reaves and Andrew Clarke, who spent the 2004-05 campaign with the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Neepawa Natives, also scored for Team White, who trailed 6-4 through forty minutes of play before rallying for three unanswered third period goals.

Clarke's game winning tally came with less than three minutes remaining in the third period.

Cole Hunter had two goals in a losing cause. Jeff Young, Jay Fehr, Jeff Topilko and Morgan MacLean also scored for the Blacks, who were outshot 50-46.

At the conclusion of Sunday's game, the Wheat Kings released seventeen players including five 15-year old prospects that are ineligible to play in the WHL this coming season. Among them was Brandon product Sanfred King, who was the Wheat Kings' first choice in last spring's WHL Bantam draft. The other 15-year olds were defenceman Colby Robak and Alexander Grill, goalkeeper Andrew Hayes and forward Jordan Hale.

Following is a list of the other players let go;
