The white squad won big over the blue squad last night 7-2 in Martensville. Sixteen year old rookie netminder Grant Rollheiser was victimized five times in his period of action but did manage to stop three penalty shots. In place of serving two minutes, the teams were awarded penalty shots which makes great sense. Gage Berkner (17), Dan Watt (17), Daniel Waschuk, Troy Crowley (17) and Walker Wintoniak (16) were the scorers. Braden Holtby came in for the second period and was only beaten once by Wintoniak's second goal to make the score 6-0 white. Kevin Armstrong (17) was strong in net for the white squad finishing off with a half-game shutout.
The blue squad came back with a couple of goals from Aaron Bader and Blair Macaulay (17) against Cam Reid (17). That was as close as they'd come as Dane Crowley finished it off beating Reid for a 7-2 final score.
Only one fight took place in the game that was made up of mostly rookies. 17 year old Greg Brown had the upper hand against 16 year old Adam Geric.
