Warriors Sign 2nd and 3rd Round Draft Picks

Moose Jaw, SK -Following the announcement that Neal Prokop, the Moose Jaw Warriors 1st Round Selection (5th Overall) in the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft had signed a Western Hockey League Agreement with the Moose Jaw Warriors Hockey Club, General Manager Chad Lang has signed the Warriors 2nd and 3rd round 2005 Bantam Draft picks.

Suer, a 15 -year-old Saskatoon native, was selected by the Warriors in the 2nd Round (22nd Overall) in the 2005 WHL Bantam Draft. Last year Chad playing for the Saskatoon Raiders. In 47 games, the 6' -193 pound defensemen scored 9 goals and 24 assists and accumulated 107 minutes in penalties.

"Chad is a character player who possesses a tremendous work ethic coupled with very good defensive skills; explained Lang. "He also plays with an edge and is a very aggressive player.

Grecica, another 15-year-old from Cloverdale, BC, was the Warriors 3rd Round Selection (42nd Overall) in the 2005 Bantam Draft. Jason played last season with the Cloverdale Colts. In 56 games, the 6'3-205 pound left winger scored 60 goals and 45 assists for 105 points.

"We are extremely excited to sign our second and third round picks, said Warriors General Manager Chad Lang. We had both Chad and Jason rated in the first round and couldn't resist when they were still available for us.

Those kids are real good talents. I like Suer alot and Prokop and Grecica along with a kid by the name of Mitchel Labreche may just make up one hell of a rookie line next season. Mitchel may not come until he is 17 because of his size but this kid can flat out play. Those three kids all have the skill level to play top 2 lines in the Whl no doubt about it. With Suer on the back end we have 4 real good solid players. Very nice to see. Jebson looks like a great pickup for the Warriors between the pipes as a 16 year old as well. May not be room here this season but they willhave to make room if he continues to progress this fast.
