ICE RELEASE FORWARD AND GOALTENDER

Cranbrook, BC – Jeff Chynoweth, General Manager of the Kootenay ICE Hockey Club announced today the club has released 18-year-old Forward Laine Allen and 17-year-old Goaltender Tyler Pugh.

Laine Allen, who was a second round selection (33rd overall) in the 2002 WHL Bantam Draft, played in 53 regular season games during his two years with the ICE franchise. Allen will return home until a League and Team is determined. Tyler Pugh, who was listed by the Kootenay ICE in September, 2005 after a successful training camp, will compete for a spot with a Junior A franchise for the upcoming season. With today’s transaction the ICE are currently carrying 24 players, including 13 forwards, nine defensemen and two goaltenders.

Dropping Allen just goes to prove that you don't automaticly get a job if you were here last year. I know he wasn't in the core of the club but it will make the vets look over there sholders until all the dust settles.
