Raiders Re-assign Karsten Felske

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - After practice this afternoon, the Prince Albert Raiders announced they have re-assigned 17 year-old goaltender Karsten Felske. The destination of Felske has yet to be determined.

Felske, a product of the Prince Albert Minor Hockey Association and the first son of a Raider Alumni (Owen Felske) to be drafted by the Raiders, appeared in 2 pre-season games with a GAA of 5.45 and Save Percentage of .886.

The Raiders will start the season with 18 year-old Alex Archibald and 19 year-old Brant Hilton as their goaltenders. Hilton was edged out for the second goaltender spot on the roster last year by Archibald.

The move leaves the Raiders with 25 players on their roster, including Kyle Chipchura (Montreal) and A.J. Thelen (Minnesota) who continue to attend NHL training camps.

The 2005-06 Western Hockey League regular season opens Friday when the Raiders host the Moose Jaw Warriors at 7:30 PM at the Art Hauser Centre in the 900 CKBI Home Opener featuring a pre-game laser light show. Tickets for the Home Opener, and season tickets are on sale every day this week from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Raider Ticket Office.
