The darkhorse: Prince Albert Raiders
Last season: Eliminated by Brandon in the Eastern Conference Finals
The Raiders were a surprise team in last year's playoffs after beating Saskatoon in four games in the opening round. Last season they were led by Jeremy Colliton and Rejean Beauchemin. Unfortunately for Prince Albert, both players moved on to the professional ranks. The good news is that Kyle Chipchura's looking better than ever after missing most of last season to injury and the addition of A.J. Thelen will give them a top notch defenceman. They might be overlooked by some, and if this happens again they could very well be the surprise team once again.
