Western Hockey League
Team to watch: Saskatoon Blades
Last season: Eliminated by Prince Albert in the first round

It appears as though the Saskatoon Blades are finally ready to overcome their mediocre label this season. Playing in the strongest division in the WHL will be tough, but a strong showing in the regular season against divisional opponents should better prepare them for the playoffs this time around. Despite the loss of offensive defenceman Mike Green, the Blades shouldn't have any problems scoring goals. Their offence will be led by the eighth overall pick in the NHL draft, Devin Setoguchi, as well as Bruins fifth-rounder Wacey Rabbit. With Russian import Anton Khudobin in goal, the Blades should be contenders for the WHL crown.

westbeach what's the source, or is this your own opinion?

overall there isn't a lot to choose from between pa, brandon, saskatoon, and moose jaw. the only weak sister might be regina and if the pats can find some goal scoring then they could be competitive as well.

should be interesting hockey to watch with a lot of battles.
