Mighty Ducks Sign Michael Wall to a Three-Year Entry Level Contract

The Mighty Ducks of Anaheim announced today that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed goaltender Michael Wall to a three-year entry level contract. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.



Wall, 20 (7/25/85), spent last season with Everett of the Western Hockey League (WHL), where he posted a 24-22-8 record in 56 games with a 1.92 goals-against average (GAA), .931 save percentage (SV%) and 10 shutouts. His shutout total was the second best in the WHL. In 11 postseason games, he posted a 4-7 record with a 2.15 GAA.

In 2003-04, the 6-2, 189-pound native of Telkwa, British Columbia split the season between Prince George (WHL) and Everett (WHL) posting a record of 12-13-3 in 36 games played with a 2.27 GAA and two shutouts. In three playoff games with Everett, he was 1-0 with a 1.15 GAA. Wall spent the 2002-03 season with Prince George, posting a record of 2-5-1 with a 4.23 GAA in 13 games played. He began his WHL career with Prince George in 2001-02, collecting a 0-1-1 record and a 4.00 GAA in three games.

Undrafted, Wall posted a 38-41-13 record with a 2.30 GAA, .922 SV% and 12 shutouts in 108 career WHL games.
